When Anxiety Makes You Angry

CBT Anger Management Strategies for Kids and Teens

I request a training

Anxiety is showing up in unique ways that require impactful interventions.

Anxiety doesn’t always look the way we expect it to. We’ve all heard of fight, flight, or freeze before. And while flight and freeze are really easy to identify as anxiety (of course that kid’s running away because they’re scared, or of course that teen who isn’t talking is shy and nervous), we often forget that FIGHT is equally valid.

Kids and teens with anger problems might actually be hiding underlying anxiety.

This training is specifically designed to help you identify and treat anxiety-driven anger, build PRAC skills to teach your clients, and give you a robust toolbox so that you leave knowing what to do in your very next session.

Powerful tools to help you manage the anxiety that makes you angry

Using a proven-effective approach rooted in evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), When Anxiety Makes You Angry will help you identify the anxiety beneath your anger, accept difficult emotions—rather than fighting or trying to ignore them - and learn healthy coping and self-regulation skills to help you find emotional balance.
