Child Therapist, Teen Therapist, Parent Coach

When you have anxiety, or have experienced trauma, it’s so important to feel comfortable with your therapist.

As an anxiety therapist, trauma specialist, and one of the expert parent coaches at Compassionate Counseling St. Louis, I really know that it can feel so uncomfortable to open up.

You need to trust your therapist. You need to feel heard, understood, and respected. And you need to know that you have someone on your side - even when you’re the kid or teen who gets in trouble, or the parent who hates that you snap at your kid, or who looks so perfect on the outside when inside you’re feeling low self-esteem and big emotions.

I became a counselor because I love people; talking to them, helping them open up, and just getting to know them.

I’m passionate about helping people uncover what’s really going on, underneath the big behaviors that might be masking underlying issues, like anxiety, stress, or trauma. That’s why it’s so important to have that comfortable relationship with your therapist. You need to feel ready to explore the big stuff.
