Child Therapist, Teen Therapist, Parent Coach
When you have anxiety, or have experienced trauma, it’s so important to feel comfortable with your therapist.
As an anxiety therapist, trauma specialist, and one of the expert parent coaches at Compassionate Counseling St. Louis, I value the close relationship I build with my clients. I also really know how hard it can feel to open up.
You need to trust your therapist. You need to feel heard, understood, and respected. And you need to know that you have someone on your side - even when you’re the kid or teen who gets in trouble, or the parent who hates that you snap at your kid, or who looks so perfect on the outside when inside you’re feeling low self-esteem and big emotions.
I became a counselor because I love people; talking to them, helping them open up, and just getting to know them.
Over the past decade, I’ve built my clinical skills to help kids, teens, and parents open up about the anxiety, anger, and trauma that’s getting in their way.
I’m passionate about helping people uncover what’s really going on, underneath the big behaviors that might be masking underlying issues, like anxiety, stress, or trauma. That’s why it’s so important to have that comfortable relationship with your therapist. You need to feel ready to explore the big stuff.
